Opening an individual Zerodha account online is a seamless process, provided your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Visit Zerodha’s Online Signup Page:

Go to signup.zerodha.com using your web browser.

Step 2: Follow On-Screen Instructions:

Navigate through the on-screen instructions to begin the account opening process.

Step 3: Complete E-Sign Process:

Follow the prompts to complete the e-sign process, which verifies your identity electronically.

Step 4: Ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • Self-attested copy of the PAN card with your signature underneath.
  • Your signature on a scanned copy (in blue or black ink).
  • Aadhaar number.
  • Bank proof in your name, which could be a personalized canceled cheque, bank statement, or bank passbook copy showing relevant details.
  • Income proof, if trading in F&O, such as bank statements, salary slips, ITR acknowledgment, Form 16, certificate of net worth, or demat holdings statement.

Step 5: Account Opening Timeline:

Your account will be opened within 72 working hours after completing the process.

You’ll receive an email containing your user ID for accessing your Zerodha account.

Step 6: Offline Account Opening:

Step 7: Opening Charges:

The charge for opening an equity trading and demat account online is ₹200.
